Phoenix men keep pace in Horizon League with win vs. Vikings

The Green Bay Phoenix men's basketball team's late run guided them to beat Cleveland State Sunday afternoon 79-71.

The Vikings had the upper hand on the Phoenix for much of the game, taking a 38-35 lead into halftime and a four-point lead with five minutes to go. The Phoenix would go on to score the next 12 points in the contest and build a 72-64 advantage. Free throws would dictate the final score as the Phoenix improved to 6-2 in the Horizon League to tie Oakland at the top.

Noah Reynolds padded his resume to become the Horizon League Player of the Year with a 32-point performance. Foster Wonders scored 15 points with five three-pointers and Elijah Jones registered a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Tristan Enaruna led the Vikings with 22 points in the loss.
